Our Mission

We see a need for the sport to advance in the methods and techniques in which it is practiced. Science is lacking in bodybuilding when compared to other sports, where athletes are routinely coached by professional trainers with degrees in human performance. Team 3DMJ is here to bridge that gap. We prepare athletes for the stage using not only our experience, but scientifically sound techniques. Too long has our sport been plagued by decades-old information that is unsafe, ineffective and inapplicable to a natural bodybuilder. Team 3DMJ is dedicated to methods that allow your hard work to pay off. As a natural athlete you push yourself to the limit and you deserve to fulfill your true potential.

About Us

3DMuscleJourney.com was created in January of 2009 by Natural Pro Jeff Alberts (pictured left). Jeff attributes his success, longevity and enjoyment in natural bodybuilding to his dedication, desire and discipline. Bodybuilding requires consistent application of these attributes to truly achieve success, satisfaction and one’s goals and dreams. In 2009, after a long layoff, Jeff returned to the sport with renewed passion. His uncle-in-law, Miles Nelson, gave Jeff the idea to catalog his inspirational journey from an out-of-shape 202 lb. retired competitor, to a 160 lb. shredded natural champion. From this, 3DMuscleJourney.com was born. Although the site has evolved and expanded, Jeff’s journey still continues in his blog.

During Jeff’s competitive season of 2009, he met the rest of what would become Team 3DMuscleJourney. During passionate discussion backstage with natural bodybuilders Eric Helms, Alberto Nunez and Brad Loomis, the seeds of Team 3DMJ were planted. Finding kindred spirits in one another, and seeing the need to share knowledge and expand the sport of natural bodybuilding, the seed grew.

In October of 2009, Team 3DMJ was officially formed and began providing comprehensive bodybuilding coaching to athletes all over the world and 3DMuscleJourney.com evolved. No longer is it solely a documentation of Jeff’s journey, it has become a website for the entire community. We are dedicated to promoting, informing and expanding the sport of natural bodybuilding as a whole.
