The Natural Movement Promoting 100% Natural Athletes November 2010
ZAK WALIZADEH, 18, Liberry, New York, USA
It is hard to believe Zak Walizadeh is only 18 years of age. His physique looks as if he’s been in the weight room for many years. Believe it or not, he has only been throwing around the weights for a mere three years. However, in that time span Zak has attained the look many experienced athletes never achieve. In a sport where young athletes tend to look for short cuts, Zak has wisely chosen the natural route to build his inspiring physique. “I love how much hard work goes into the sport, and when the time comes I can achieve my goals only through my discipline and dedication. It's a mindset like this that will take you far in bodybuilding, but more importantly, in life.” In his first bodybuilding contest, Zak not only won the junior division, but the overall novice title as well, with amazing conditioning. After a successful rookie contest season, Zak looks forward to his upcoming goals. “I plan on taking a 2-3 year offseason to gain the strength and size I need to be competitive for the coveted pro card. At my next show I don't want to leave any doubt that I deserve to hang with the pros!” Zak’s advice for other natural athletes, “Never give up. If you think you're at your mental limits you'd be surprised at how far you can keep going. Anyone in prep who's struggling, on the hardest days embrace the fact that you've been able to push through them. I can't stress enough how I actually miss those days, because it's something that you're never going to forget.” It is mind blowing to think Zak just finished his first contest season and when he decides to return to the stage his physique will undoubtedly turn heads. 3DMJ wishes Zak the best during his extended offseason!
