Martyn Sklayne, 29, from London, in the United Kingdom has been training hard for a total of eight years. Back in 2006, Martyn placed 1st at the UKBFF Leaminton Spa Under 70kg division. Just this past year he competed at the FAME London Championships where there were not any weight divisions, but Martyn placed a very solid 6th. He went on to a 4th place finish in the lightweight division at the BNBF Southern Championships which was a qualifier for the British Natural Finals. Martyn’s future goal is to win 1st place and qualify for the British Natural Finals. Martyn’s take on why he has chosen the natural path, “I started training to become healthier and stronger. My goal hasn't changed and I believe that staying natural is an important factor to being healthy.” Martyn’s words of wisdom for other natural athletes, “Never give up, have persistence and patience. Don't compare yourself to other people; work on being the best you can be!”
