3DMJ: Describe why you have decided to train naturally.
Lael Sauter: To see how far I can take my body naturally is to know how good I can truly become. To compromise my reputation, health and integrity to win what I know I could not have achieved without drugs is not a true win. The win came with a hidden blemish. It's like purchasing a Mercedes convertible with a Ford engine. It's just not genuine.
Furthermore, I lift to live as oppose to live to lift. I began training to improve my way of life, not to complicate it. Drugs of any kind will complicate life.
3DMJ: Any other information or advice you would like to share with other natural athletes.
Lael Sauter: Lift heavy more often and consistently. As a natural bodybuilder you cannot get big by lifting light weights. Don't be afraid to get under the heavy weights. It's a guaranteed way to grow muscle.
Be cautious with the advice you receive from locker room know it alls. Being a natural bodybuilder is like being a leaf. You're always being blown in different directions from various opinions on how to achieve this or that. This includes the new rave supplement or the new way of training. Once you find what works for you, and you begin to see real results, stick with it.
