3DMJ: How long have you been training?
PF: 9 years

3DMJ: List your accomplishments as a natural athlete.
PF: 2008 NANBF Mr. Natural Minnesota: 1st Open Medium, 2nd Collegiate
2008 OCB 45th Parallel: 2nd Open Tall
2006 NANBF Best of the Midwest: 2nd Open Medium
2006 NANBF Eagles Wings: Best Poser, 1st Novice Medium and 2nd Open Short

3DMJ: What are future goals/contests?
PF: Short Term: 2012 OCB Circle City, 2012 NANBF St. Louis, 2012 NANBF Probody
Long Term: Obtain an IFPA Pro Card and my PhD in Nutritional Science

3DMJ: Describe why you have decided to train naturally.
PF: I have decided to train naturally because at the first contest I attended back when I was 16 (an NPC contest), I saw a middle weight (who is now a natural pro), hold his own against a super-heavyweight. I personally thought the natural looked better and had a more attainable physique. Throughout the following years, I met some natural bodybuilders at my gym and ended up getting talked into doing a natural show. The rest is history. By the time I was 22, I had competed in 5 shows and I had even won my open class at a pro-qualifier. Now I am working on my PhD in Nutritional Science at the University of Illinois and training for a series of shows in the NANBF/OCB in June/July of 2012.

3DMJ: Any other information or advice you would like to share with other natural athletes.
PF: As someone with less than stellar genetics for this sport, I feel that this advice is fitting for others like me: In natural bodybuilding nothing ever happens overnight. Any supplement that claims to give you overnight results is either a scam or on the banned substance list. Just keep your diet in check and keep busting your ass in the gym and you will make gains.

3DMJ: Thank you Peter for taking the time to share some of your thoughts with the 3DMJ community. We wish you the best in your upcoming endeavors.
