Week 9
My union and memebership voted yes to worksharing, so there will be no lay offs. That is good news!! I have been busy this week working on this website and training hard. I hope everybody likes it. This week went really good. I am down to 179 lbs. I have dropped a total of 23 lbs so far. I am still aiming to get to 154-155 lbs. but I will see when I get closer to my goal. If I need to drop more weight at that time I will do it. My goal is to get as lean as possible! I want to take it to another level. I think I am looking a lot better and am getting more and more motivated as the weight comes off. I have started a training page and nutrition page so everybody can see my progress as I go along to the show. If anyone has any suggestion or comments drop me an email.
Weight Training
My weight training is going great. I have been able to get stronger while losing weight. I keep pushing myself harder and harder. I am trying to keep most of my exercises at 5 repetitions. My brother Michael has been pushing me to be at my best. It is always great to have a training partner to push you. I will continue my current program until I feel I am getting stagnant.
Cardio
Like I said a couple of weeks ago I have stopped doing cardio because I felt I was dropping weight too fast and my weight training was suffering. I still am not doing cardio and it seems to be working for now. In the past I would do 1 hour per day on the stationary bike and maybe I was losing muscle from from all that excess cardio. I also think starting my diet 6 months in advance has benefited me greatly. It is giving me the time to really slow the pace down and focus on weight training and not so much cardio training. If my weight loss starts to slow down then I will incorporate cardio back into my program.
Diet
My diet has been going really well. I am still dropping weight and I will adjust my diet as needed. I will evaluate my diet on a weekly basis to see if I need to make changes or not.
Until my next blog!

Welcome to my 3DMuscleJourney! As many of you know I created this website back in January '09 to journal my training leading up to the '09 INBF Capital City Championships. Since then the site has seen some incredible changes, including the formation of Team 3DMJ. I'm very proud of all the great changes to the site and it couldn't have been remotely possible without the help from all my teammates, family and friends! My 2011 contest season was a huge success with a few division titles and a trip to the IFPA Yorton Cup World Championships where I proudly finished 7th in a very competitive middleweight lineup. I'm officially in my offseason and you are more than welcome to follow along! jeffalberts@3dmusclejouney.com
