As of today I am 169 lbs. I am finally in the 160's. From 202 lbs to now I feel way better. Training is going really well and I am on pace to reach all of my goals. Yesterday I did have a tough leg workout. I was very tired and after my leg workout I jumped on the stationary bike for 53 minutes. I usually do 60 minutes but I ran out of gas! I decided to take in a lot of carbs last night to try and get my energy levels back up. I took in 375 grams for the day and today I feel 10 times better. In past contest prep periods I would have just stuck to my set plan of carbs no matter how I was feeling but I have learned this time around to listen to my body and do what I need to do to keep me training at my best. I resumed my normal eating plan today and I feel a lot better. As I have said in my past blog I will be doing a show on June 20 as a practice run for my main show in July. I have 6 weeks to go for that show and I should be weighing between 160-163 lbs. for that show. At that weight I should be in good enough condition to have a good showing. This will give me the chance to practice my posing routine and go through all the mandatory poses at the prejudge and evening show. I will also get a chance to figure out my food intakes, water intake, and to make sure my color is where it needs to be. If I make any mistakes then I will be able to make the adjustments that need to be made for the Capital City in July. Six more weeks to my first show and 10 weeks to go to my ultimate goal at the Capital City. It has been a fast 18 weeks and with 10 more weeks to go it seems like a long way to go but I am very motivated to be at my best. This is the longest I have dieted for a show and I think it has been beneficial for me to start this far in advance. I just have to keep working hard and and I will be at my best! Until my next blog! Keep training hard and naturally!

Welcome to my 3DMuscleJourney! As many of you know I created this website back in January '09 to journal my training leading up to the '09 INBF Capital City Championships. Since then the site has seen some incredible changes, including the formation of Team 3DMJ. I'm very proud of all the great changes to the site and it couldn't have been remotely possible without the help from all my teammates, family and friends! My 2011 contest season was a huge success with a few division titles and a trip to the IFPA Yorton Cup World Championships where I proudly finished 7th in a very competitive middleweight lineup. I'm officially in my offseason and you are more than welcome to follow along! jeffalberts@3dmusclejouney.com
