Week 13 is in the books and I seem to be getting a little bit better. I am still 175 lbs. however I am a little leaner than last week. I will have to adjust either my calories or do more cardio or both to keep losing the weight. I had a rough week lifting weights. My joints are hurting me more now and my strength level has declined as well. I will have to back off on the really heavy weight this week. I already dropped my weight on my last couple of workouts but I did incorporate more forced reps and static holds to increase my intensity. I also increased my rep range from 4-6 reps,trying to get 8 reps on most lifts. I also increased my glucosimine for my joints from 1 tablet per day to 2 tablets. I have done this for the last few days and I have noticed it is starting to work. Hopefully when I hit the gym on Monday I will be back to normal so I can push myself again. I did increase my cardio from 30 minutes daily to 45 minutes. I started doing this on Friday, so I think by next week I will get my weight down a little more. As far as my diet is going, I am trying to decrease my protein slightly so I can keep my carbs a little bit on the high side for my energy levels. I will try to keep my protein around 150-180 grams per day this week coming up and my carbs around 280-300 grams per day. Fat will be on the lower end. If I do not see any change then I will have no choice but to drop my carbs down. Other than that I just have to make the necessary adjustments and keep moving forward. Still a long way to go but I am very motivated, I just have to be patient and keep on the right path. Here is a couple of pictures from April 1, 2009.
