This week has been so inspiring for me. Last Saturday I trained with INBF Champ Eric Helms, Eric's wife and WNBF Pro - Alberto "Berto" Nunez and it was a very inspiring workout. This past contest season I have been honored to have gotten to know Eric and Berto and they have really given me a lot of inspiration to continue my bodybuilding career. We had a great workout doing chest, delt and triceps. We talked natural bodybuilding and watched some contest vids and just hung out. It was a great time! Eric is going for his pro card this Saturday and by the way he is looking, he has a great shot! Eric has had 36 weeks of contest prep and anyone who knows what it takes to get to the contest stage can understand the commitment and sacrifice it takes. He totally inspires me to see him go through his journey! Berto inspires me with his commitment to improve the sport of natural bodybuilding. He trains so hard and it shows up in his physique. He genuinely is a great guy to be around, always positive and very motivating. Another individual who totally inspires me is WNBF Pro - Brad Loomis with his work ethic and intensity. I have never seen anyone train as hard as Brad does. You just would not appreciate his intensity unless you seen him action. This guy has more intensity than most and he is the most nicest guys you would ever meet. Check out their intense training vid "Natural Champions" http://www.3dmusclejourney.com/

One of my co-workers at Nummi has his last day at work on Thursday and is getting ready to retire. Tuesday was my last working day of the week because I have vacation so this was my last day with him. His name is Henry Benigno and he is in his mid 60's and not a bodybuilder but he inspires me with his work ethic and consistency. He is the oldest in my area at work, however he does the job alongside everyone else and he never has any complaints. He never calls in sick to work and he is a very hard worker. Henry is someone I look up to and respect and I will definitely miss working alongside of him.

On Wednesday I drove down to Carmichael, Ca to photograph WNBF Pro Angela Compilli for an upcoming article for the site. She is another inspiration. She is one of the leanest female bodybuilders I have ever seen, leaner than most men get for a bodybuilding show. She has a show this Saturday in Sacramento and I feel she is going to do really well.

My best friend Mike is here visiting me also and we are just hanging out and trying to have a good time. Mike's back is out of alignment right now so we are limited to what we can do but we usually don't need to do anything major and we still have a great time. We are hoping is back is better by Saturday so he can go to bodybuilding show pain free!

I had a great workout today blasting legs and they are already starting to get sore. I have really started to increase my intensity and I am getting stronger each workout. My squats went up to 295 for 5, 305 for 5, 315 for 3. I will just keep pushing hard to improve. Tomorrow I am going to hit an upper body workout and my plan is to keep increasing weight and do a pyramid workout. Increase the weight on each set and push each set to failure.

Saturday is the big show, US Pro Cup and West Coast Classic, I cant wait as my brother Paul Alberts is competing in the pro division along with my friend Brad Loomis. My friend Eric Helms is in the amateur show looking to grab his pro card. It is going to be a great show and look for next weeks blog as I will post up some pics. Until then keep training hard and naturally!
