Bodybuilding Break
After weeks of training and 4 shows I decided to take a much needed break from bodybuilding. I did a bodybuilding detox! On August 22-24 I went to Las Vegas!! It was my first time in Vegas and it was awesome! I got to celebrate the contest season by enjoying the trip with my wife Jhanna, my best friend Mike and my friend Dave. I got to eat some good food! (It wasn't good for me but it tasted great). We arrived on Friday night after a hard day at work and we walked the strip checking out the sites.

The next day we met up with Ryan, a friend from work, who happened to be celebrating his 26th birthday!

After Vegas I was burnt out! That was three weeks in a row of travel. Washington, Anaheim, then Vegas, crazy! I needed a vacation from my vacation. I decided I needed a break from training and my diet. I did no training for over 3 weeks and no dieting. I was not feeling motivated to train, so the break did me well. Last weekend we laid low and just took in a movie. We saw Inglorious Bastards, it was ok, nothing spectacular but I got to actually eat some popcorn and candy! I also went to Cold Stone Creamery and got me a Birthday Cake sundae! Two scoops of cake batter ice cream mixed with brownie, sprinkles and chocolate fudge.

It has been awesome not thinking about bodybuilding. I have gained some weight back but nothing I can't lose again. I am enjoying myself and sometimes you need balance in life. It is not good to be so consumed with one thing all the time. This break has given me the rest I was needing and now I feel energized to train again. I will be changing my training page in the near future. I will be adding my new plan for my next contest season. Stay tuned for more updates and future changes to the site. Until then keep training hard and naturally!
