2009 INBF Capital City Natural Championships
Jeff Alberts "2009 INBF Capital City Lightweight Champ" On July 18, 2009 I placed 1st in the Men's Open Lightweight class and 2nd place in the men's overall behind the middleweight & overall Capital City Natural Winner Moji Oluwa. Moji is a tremendous athlete with a great physique which is well balanced with awesome mass and good conditioning. Although there were only three of us in the lightweight class there was no shortage of muscle. Everyone was well muscled and in great condition to do battle. Cecil Green placed 2nd with his great symmetry and razor sharp cuts. Daniel Marquez finished in 3rd with his tremendous width and size. Not only do I respect Cecil and Daniel's physiques, I also think they are awesome individuals and I am grateful for getting the opportunity to have met them. A couple of shots from the lightweight class doing battle at the prejudging.

2009 Lightweight Champ Jeff Alberts After winning the lightweight class I returned to the stage to take on all the other class winners to determine the overall champion. It was a grueling round of posing comparisons as Head Judge, Wade Brown, really made us work to earn that elusive pro card.

Hands on Hip Most Muscular In the overall posedown we all went head to head in a very exciting posedown. The crowd was going crazy and after we finished posing we received a standing ovation! In all my experiences in bodybuilding I have never been part of or witnessed a standing ovation from a bodybuilding crowd. It was simply awesome to know the audience appreciated all of our hard work. After much anticipation Moji Oluwa was announced as the "2009 INBF Capital City Natural Overall Men's Champion". He is a great natural bodybuilder and I am proud to have competed against him. After the show I was greeted by my awesome family and friends who were there yelling and screaming for me the whole night! They were even chanting 3D! 3D! 3D! for 3DMUSCLE during the final posedown. I was totally pumped up after that! I got the opportunity to take some photos with them.

Luis After the show it was definitely time to eat! My family and I all went to BJ's Brewery to enjoy some nice fatty food! I ordered a large pepperoni, mushroom and olive pizza. I have to say the pizza was awesome after 7 months of dieting. For dessert I enjoyed a big chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream!
